Mirror Window Tint

The mirror window tint films give you the look of reflective glass. It's scratch resistant, easy to apply, available in Gunmetal Gray (35% Light Transmission), Pacific Blue (35% Light Transmission), and Sterling Silver (50% Light Transmission). Although the installation is not difficult and it doesn't take much time to complete, most tinters will stay clear of the "mirror tint" because it is illegal in most states to have it even on the rear windows. Of course, mirror window tint can be applied not only on cars, but on commercial and residential properties as well.

A mirror window tint film makes the glass become a one way mirror. With the application of reflective film, in conjunction with proper light levels, glass can be seen through from one direction and appear as a mirror, from the other direction.

The effective life of mirror window tint depends on the film, type of glass, window construction, compass orientation of glass, and the geographical location - climate. There are documented cases of film lasting 12 - 18 years or more in some instances.

Once you have installed mirror tint on your window, you shouldn't wash it for the first 30 days. After this "curing period" is over, you can clean it just they way you clean unfilmed glass, using even ammonia based products. But its always a better idea to read the manual first.

Mirror window tint can be installed on commercial properties, residences and automobiles. The darkness that you see on car tinting is due to the kind of tint that automobiles must use.

Every manufacturer gives a different warranty period in which the film will not fell off from your glass. This process varies from 5 to 10 years.

Of course, mirror window tint films have a very high level of reflectivity, but for the most part, on residential and commercial properties, people prefer films with very low reflectivity. Even clear, unfilmed glass has a certain amount of reflectivity and window film reacts the same way. However, there are some applications that demand a reflective film in order to not damage the glass.

There some important tips that you should have in mind before having a mirror window tint installed. Firs of all, check the given company and find out how long they have been in business. The warranty is also important. Check their prior work. If you are installing the film on the rear window, make sure they do it in one piece.
